Becoming a doctor means many things to different aspirants.For some white apron with stetho means a livelihood,for some it is just a profession like any other,for some the glamour, money & respect in society is the criterion,some people wanting to prove something earn the medical degree to fall back onto something in case they dont succeed in other persuits.Some rare breeds sincerely wanting to serve & heal the sick,turn all the stones and become a doctor.

What prompted you,ladies and gentlemen,to opt this touh profession,though being hard working and intelligent most of you could have become anything you wanted?

That's a really good question, why are we becoming doctors?, or want to be...
I actually don't know right at this point...
Sometimes, I think is because the intellectual thing...about knowing so many things, the power of the doctor on the pacient life...the game of life and death...But, when I see it I'm so sure that I want it...not for the money, not for the glamour, respect, it's...something I think I have to do...and I CAN do...

Well,to say the truth..I choosed it to test my self...Its the most CHALLANGING carrier I knew...Love for a Bit of challange put me on this path...
But now for all the things I'm much happy I chose it.Its great to think that I'm gonna b able to help a fellow out of suffering.. out of pain.. The pts could get medicine from any doctor even if I weren't a one. But for me,,,I'm being an assist my self for them..so that I'm making a use of my life for others...And thats what my conceren is.Can't think what better I would have done ....
Being a doc is bit about money, bit about reputation,,, but I think its mostly about seeing another smile and wiping off another tear of another fellow being.

If you are able to keepup your motto with honesty,you will certainly become a very respected doctor.
without being looking like sermonizing,I wish to state here that all fresh bloods in this field must remember that Medicine may not make you a millionnaire(Nor one should aspire for from it)but if practiced ethically it will certainly keep your head high in society.
One should also remember from the outset that like any other scientific field, this field is also changing very fast therefore a doctor must keep the mind open to adopt to recent advances in the field.One has to remain always a student!

For me,, i don't know how that dream started to appear on my goals since childhood,,, i can say it was a sort of a pre-natal dream.. :D

ya,, was really totally pure dream ,, the causes are totally faraway from money or such degree or things may others say..,,

when i see some one suffering from illness or so,, i say that i can see whats going on or can relief him,, its totally great feeling to see others smiles & happiness after being relieved,,

& here we are,, i've chosen that way for my life...... i know its too hard but i also know that its my career where i should be,, thanks god,,


but when i started to see how much stressful we always & how much we see in hospitals i ask my self "am i will be able to take that responsibility..?? ,, will be able to see such severe cases & illness nearly every day ??!!! "

am still young & can say still what i've seen considered NOTHING compared with what will happen latter on,, but its really heavy responsibility being in charge of,,,



although all of that... i can say " its a great dream in my life ,, & i won't give it up till the end.."

In reply to your post I will only say that there is never any need to even consider things like "giving up...or will I be able to do or not??"
Just stay focussed and remain in "present only".Take each day at a time and deal it as it comes.Nothing shall stop you in becoming a good doctor.

I have skills of medic but I don't want to be a doctor.

..Ofcourse, Mr.Bestfield.., everyone need not to become a doctor.Patient care not only need good doctors but good nurses,good paramedicsmedics,good pharmacists....and so on.
