Though it is not ur fault sir b'coz u dont make the rules.
The rules of nurses "registered in Uk..ireland..."etc should have been scraped long ago as it seems not tenable in this modern era.It reeks of colonial mindset of byegone era.
Will anyone tell me if an English speaking Indian,chinese,Korean..registerd nurse is in anyway inferior to work in an English speaking country?
I am writing this becoz as a Senior consultant surgeon who has worked in developed nations too and can say with experience that Indian.... nurses are in noway inferior to anyone.
....but Ah!the world has always been discriminatory!!
In any sector one must choose a candidate on the basis on one to one interaction judgings & individualized evaluations rather than on the blind basis of just registered in certain 'holier than thou'countries.
W.H.O. should now come ot of slumber and recognize the "other" countries intelligent and good human resources too.will anyone really listen?

Dear b
Thanks for your appreciaton
But I dont know whether my point of view here shall be given any importance or not by the medical heirarchy in certain countries.Still it is my firm belief based on my practical professional experience regarding nurses & paramedics.
Such rules are not only discriminatory but are downright insulting to the systems of many countries. What a good nurse or paramedic, trained in any country, needs is just 2 weeks of reorientation in any country. They invaraiably adopt to professional requirements of "that" country.
Similarly sometimes I also find in newspapers and electronic media advertisements from certain countries which read like this.."Only persons belonging to......religion need apply."Ofcourse such ads are not for medical profession but for some other job sectors this is seen. This practice is most abhoring. In my opinion tenets of all religions are same.
...but who listens!
