Here are Some very important Info regarding Jerusalem..city of the Lord.
The Walls of Jerusalem
Jerusalem was surrounded by massive walls. Ps 51:18 "Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem."
David’s prayer was answered when his son Solomon build the wall of Jerusalem around the city, and repaired the breaches of the city of David. He also built the Millo (rampart), a fortification which apparently existed when it was inhabited by the Jebusites as with King Hezekiah:
2 Chron 32:4-5 "And he strengthened himself, built up all the wall that was broken, raised it up to the towers, and built another wall outside; also he repaired the Millo in the City of David, and made weapons and shields in abundance."
King Manasseh, after he repented built a wall around the city of David, on the west side of Gihon:
2 Chron 33:13-15 "Then Manasseh knew that the LORD was God. After this he built a wall outside the City of David on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate; and it enclosed Ophel, and he raised it to a very great height. Then he put military captains in all the fortified cities of Judah.
Also Nehemiah, after the Babylonian captivity, brought helpers including "Shallum and his daughters," and repaired the broken down walls of Jerusalem by "putting their necks to the work of the Lord."
By the time of Jesus, according to Josephus, there were three walls that surrounded Jerusalem, "90 towers stood in the first wall, 14 in the second, and 60 in the third." The third wall was built by Herod Agrippa I.

Several Christians realize that we are living in the last days. SIGNS OF THE END OF SATAN'S BEAST TIME.
We know this because of the appalling and ever increasing things that are happening NOW: wars (Bosnia, Middle East), rumors of war (Middle East), famines (Ethiopia, Somalia), pestilences (AIDS), earthquakes in various places, murders (abortions), sexual immorality, self-centeredness, rapes, theft, etc. Most of these problems are a result of breaking God's Laws or sins. As I once heard, "Imagine if all the world kept just one of God's Ten Commandments! What a different world we would live in!" Take for example, if everyone kept the command: "Do not steal". Think about the result: no more locks, alarms, security guards (to prevent theft) or anything else which keeps others out for fear of theft. Many know that these are the last days for this and many other reasons. Once such future indicator is the Bible passage from Matthew 24:14-15:
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Almost all Bibles have this verse referenced to Daniel 9:27:
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Notice that the abomination of desolation is a precursor to what Jesus says, " and then shall the end come." The end has not yet occurred.
This sets up the next couple of links. In order for there to be sacrifices, there must be some sort of temple. And thus the link to the Third Temple. But before a new temple can be built, it must be consecrated in the proper Levitical way and thus the Red Heifer.
Will the temple be rebuilt and how will it occur? There's More soon to come!
